31 Aug 2008 Laksa @ Home.

Have a craving for Laksa and too lazy to go out to find a tasty one. Well, as you may already know Prima Taste have a selection of common Singapore food flavour packed paste for your cooking convenience. I highly recommend the Laksa one. Its so delicious and tasty! That day my mum cooked it with yong tau foo (variety of food items). Love it man! Nice and easy to cook!

Looks good right! Just follow the directions on the box to make and throw in some Yong tau food ingredients you can get from your nearby supermarket or wet market. Walaa! Enjoy!

Cheers,
TS!

Boon Tong Kee is famous for its delicious chicken rice! Did you know they serve other delicious food too? I went to the branch at Balestier Road, and besides the traditional chicken which they always serve, they have other ‘zi char’ food. I feel the best thing about Boon Tong Kee, since i ate when i was young till now, is the rice itself. Oh my! So frangrant and tasty! I can just eat the rice itself for dinner! 28 Aug 2008 Newton Food Centre

The TS went to the famous Newton Food centre for dinner. The place have many stores selling similar food and thus competition is so high! This is the irritating part of the food centre. Once we step inside, everybody start rushing to us, asking us to sit here or there, to order from them etc. I know we are the famous TS, but still! haha. Joke aside, it really piss the customers off, dun u think? But for the sake of good food we shall tolerate! Below are some food which we ordered and finally pictures of some of us!

Signing off,

TS =)

13 Aug 2008 Gino’s
 |  Category: Desserts, Fremantle, Italian, Perth  | Tags: , ,  | Leave a Comment

Greetings from Down Under!!!! More specifically, Perth!!

There are many great italian restaurants in Perth, and especially at this town called Fremantle, or Freo for short. It is a port city in Western Australia and is located about 19km southwest of Perth.

Gino’s was opened by a man named Gino Saccone in 1983, and his aim was to make the best coffee in Freo. He had a whole range of different flavors of coffee and beside that, make great italian pasta. Although this is an italian restaurant, once you step right inside, you will feel right at home. There are many photos of asian cultures hanging on the wall, as well as very professionally taken black and white photos. All of them look very artistic.

From their menu, one can see that they have a wide range of pasta to chose from. Their pasta not only looks good on the plate, but the taste is very savory. Very very delicious!! Of cos, not forgetting desserts. Their lemon baked cheesecake was great and the cheese was smooth and strong. Yummy!!

Prices are quite reasonable and the food portion is just nice for one. So ever come down to Perth, do head down to Freo and check it out!!!

After the popular dou hua store in geylang shifted to a different lorong, i had a tough time finding it. But being a food lover, i never give up and finally found it. Now to reward myself with the soft silky Dou Hua (Bean Curd) and crispy You Tiao (Dough Fritters)! They have some new stuff which you can check out too; such as Taiwan Mee Sua, Taiwan Meatballs etc.

10 Aug 2008 Al-ameen Eating House (Bukit Timah)

Al-ameen is one of my favourite supper hang out. The food they serve is delicious, reasonably priced and the variety of food is wide! They serve mostly indian cuisine, thai food, seafood etc. Everytime i go there i will definitely order the Soup Tulang, which is mutton joints with delicious tendons, soft meat and yummy marrow. I highly recommend that! Their pratas and naans are also tasty and good. One prata which i do not find at other places is their ice cream prata. Surprisingly, it actually complement each other well! I love their different masala(curry) too; from chicken to mutton to fish! Feasting time!
