Went down to Ang Mo Kio, Singapore, to have dinner at Mellben Seafood Restaurant. The famous restaurant with one of the best served crabs in town. When i reach there, around 7-730. They said we have to wait for approximately 1 hour 30 minutes. What the heck!!! Its a neighbourhood! You want me to chill at the void deck for 1.5 hrs?? So we did not eat there and head to the restaurant opposite. Yes, Uncle Leong Seafood Restaurant. More like a coffeeshop. haa. But let me tell you, its not just a replacement, i am glad Mellben was full house. The food there is just as good! The crab beehoon soup is very tasty. And the we were lucky to get the crab with lots of roll/egg inside! The other food served were tasty too! Mini wok deer meat, fried tou fu and stir fried spinach! Check it out!

I’ve been craving, wanting to go to the Turtle house for soooo long! And yes! finally i am there! haha! I totally enjoyed myself there! The food is good especially the turtle soup and crocodile claw! wooohooo! very tasty and nice, i highly recommend! They even replenish your soup once! I wish its free flow! What a waste, they ran out of turtle eggs, if not it would have been perfect! I am definitely going back there soon! Go, go, go! Oh i almost forget to mention, their yam rice is super duper tasty!

This is the last Turkey post and i wanna end of by sharing some must try food in Turkey, mostly street side or general stuff in Turkey.

First up, there are pastries all around turkey. The fillings include, cheese or meat or potato. They are pretty tasty and make a good snack.

 This is how the street stall looks like!

They are famous for their turkish apple tea, its refreshing and nice! And all their tea glasses look like that!

Another popular food is Pide! Its sth like pizza without the cheese and tomato base, but just as yummy!

This is a sweet snack which is really nice. Its like cotton candy which will melt in your mouth! Its called Pismaniye! I am going to try to make this! Yum!

Not forgetting the delicious kebap wraps! I love the mix wrap of lamb and chicken meat! yummy!

Ive tried their turkish coffee and its way too powerful for me. haha. Looks like i need more training! Do also try their turkish delights which most are familiar with. Have a good day and stay tune for more local delights coming up tmr and the days to come!

This place is a restaurant/night club in Turkey. Its a pretty interesting place, which entertainment show includes performances like various belly dancing, certain traditional turkish dances and singing etc. There is this guy in particular, i would like to mention. I do not know his name, but he is a very talented person. He is multilingual and can sing songs from almost any country. The place is mostly for tourists. So when a group of tourists is sitted, a country’s flag is placed on the table, so he knows which country you are from. I was surprised, when he started singing our national day songs like “We are Singapore”! Very impressive. The food there is not too bad. I love the chicken salad. I am going to make my own chicken salad and hopefully it will taste the same! haa! Oh, the dessert is pretty yummy. Ice cream with fruits!

Another stop over in Turkey and i cant remember the name of the restaurant nor can i remember the location of it!! ARGH!! Its the restaurant with my favourite chicken kebap and with a nice river side view. The chicken i thought was done really well, even the breast meat was juicy and nice! Tasty! This restaurant was one of the stop over i had for lunch in Turkey. Its buffet style. The meatballs and cheese sticks are pretty tasty. While researching more on this restaurant i found, another one at Istanbul, i m not sure if they are from the same management, but u can click here to find out more abt the other branch which looks pretty popular and good. Now that i am back from Turkey, this week shall be Turkey week! i will be show casing food from Turkey from restaurants to streetside stalls! You can go try them when you head over or even if you are a pleasant turkish citizen! I had lunch at Galata tower at Istanbul. The view there is fantastic! You get a view of the whole city and the surrounding sea. The cold wind blowing at you! The food in turkey may need getting used to as our cooking style is very much different. But once you get used to it, i m sure you will enjoy their cuisine. Every meal will be salad, main course and dessert. Their dessert is very sweet! All soaked in syrup!

Galata tower used to be a lighthouse made from wood. Later they rebuild the tower using bricks and now it is a nice place in the middle of istambul. I had the grilled fish meal. The appetizer was a dish with many kinds of cheese! I am a cheese lover, but those type needs acquired taste man. The veg are pretty fresh. If you love sweet stuff, u will love the desserts there!
