Are you a fan of baked potatoes? Here is how you can bake yours in a different style from usual! Instead of the usual way of baking your potatoes and adding sourcream or butter, what you can do is bake ur potato, then mash the insides, till it become baked mash potato! Add some mayo, if you want it creamy, place cheese on top and bake a lil while longer to melt and sprinkle bacon bits on top! boil some broccoli and fry some meat patties to go along with and ooooh yummy!

15 Oct 2008 Baked Rice!

I love baked rice! And so i decided to bake my very own rice! haha. This is Donnie’s Salmon-Mushroom Bake Rice recipe!

Ingredients:

(Amounts to your own discretion and appetite)

Grated cheddar cheese

Rice

Salmon

Fresh button mushroom

Potato

Campbell’s cream of mushroom paste

Method:

Before I baked the rice, I cooked the ingredients first. For the salmon, I grilled it with pepper and salt to taste. After which I cut the fish into many pieces. I boiled the potato and when it is soft, cut them into cubes. Diced the fresh button mushroom and fried with garlic and butter till fragrant. Steam the rice.

Place the steam rice into a bowl and add the cooked ingredients. Scoop some cream of mushroom paste and mix with a little water. You want the paste slightly thick to use as cream sauce for your rice. Add the diluted paste to your rice, ingredients and mix. Sprinkle the grated cheddar cheese on top of your rice and place into the oven. It takes around 8 to 10 mins. Do check often to prevent the cheese from burning. Walaa!

Enjoy,

28 Sep 2008 Venison Steak
 |  Category: Home Cooked, Salad, Steaks  | Tags: , , , , ,  | One Comment

It was my bday and my mum cooked Venison steak! (Deer meat) Fantastic! She bought the meat from a shop in Novena which i would like to feature in the blog soon! The shop name is called MMMM! - Meats, Marinates and Much More!

Back to dinner! My mum cooked the steak with buttered/garlic spinach, baked beans and potato salad! And its pretty simple to cook, if you are interested to cook up a lovely meal for your loved ones. I did not manage to get snap shots of her cooking, but i shall describe briely here on how you can do it.

Venison steak: Place the meat into the oven, set at high grill. Sprinkle salt and pepper. Add butter cubes around the steak. Grill for around 10-15mins. At the end of the grill collect the venison essence which dripped and mix it with whatever sauce you wanna add later like mushroom sauce or black pepper sauce to added taste.

Buttered/Garlic Spinach: Chop the spinach into fine pieces. Add butter and garlic to wok. Add the spinach and stir fry, add salt and sugar to taste. Fry till preferred texture.

Potato Salad: One of my fav ‘easy to make’ salads! What you need is bacon, potato, egg and japanese mayonnaise. Deep fry the bacon till crispy and break to bits. Hard boil the eggs and smash them up. Boil the potato and cut them into cubes. Mix everything together and add jap mayo to taste. Yummy!

Baked beans: We bought them from the supermarket! haha.

Walaa! This is what you get!

Happy Bday to me! haha
