Okay, today i shall conclude Ho Chi Minh City’s cuisine with this river cruise experience. Its a nice cruise ride moving along saigon river. It last around one and a half hours. You can have dinner onboard and be entertained by the live performances, singing and dancing! The food served is reasonable.

You only have to pay for the food you ordered. There is no charges for boarding the cruise ship itself. What more, you can get to eat some of their local food, plus some other Asian food as well. Prices would range between SGD30-80 per pax.

The first dish we ordered was sparrow’s meat. It din turn out the way we expected. All the birds are so small, it was painful to eat them. Just look at the picture below! Everything is intact even the head! There is little meat and so mostly u are biting on bones. Check out a caption of the menu below too. It says Singapore style! haha. Our local food is going global too! But i must recommend the fish. Its really fresh and nice! A must try!

There are many performances too. Do check out the video below to see one of them! Its a lady doing a dance with flamed hoola hoops!

There are many cruises along saigon river. You can just board them by the side of the river.

Perhaps you have seen this brand of coffee before? Its a popular coffee brand from Vietnam and the coffee is really good. Vietnam is famous for its coffee! We headed to this cafe and chilled there with a glass of ice coffee each! Esp in the hot weather. There are many variations to choose from!

We were walking the streets of Ho Chi Minh City when we came across this street side stall. They were barbecuing some meat on some grills and they sure look appetizing, so we decided to give it a try! I took a look at the other selection of food and pointed at the bbq meat and a squid. The lady showed me the price for both and i said yes i want both. Then she shook her head and said 1 only. WTH!!! I am willing to pay for both and let you earn money and you restrict me from buying addition food? Till today i dun understand what she is thinking. The bbq meat is not bad. Tasty. But i cant order the squid. I still cant take it!

Cheers,

This outlet is right beside Banh Cuon LA. haha. We went to Banh Cuon to eat first, then we headed next door. The chicken rice just look too nice to resist. So if u are interested to try the address is found in the previous post. But the chicken rice is actually just average. haha. Boon tong kee’s much better. The soup is nice though. Its purple in colour! I think its yam soup!
