This is another restaurant i love to patronise. The food served are always nice to savour! The crab fried rice which i bought is really tasty and the crab meat is fresh and succulent! Yum! The green tea cold soba’s texture is nice and smooth. Dip it into the sauce and slurp it down ur throat! Careful not to choke! The tempura, unagi and chicken were really good too! Haven been to Sushi Tei?? Head down now!

This time round we headed to the one at Paragon, Orchard Road, Singapore.

07 Oct 2009 Long Beach Dinner Set

I’ve been always praising Long Beach’s food, we decided to order a dinner set this time round to celebrate my granny’s bday! However, not all the dishes were great. I guess, it better to choose individually the dishes you want to eat! The seafish, prawns and steam fish were really good. The crab they served was salted egg style, but its no where as good as the crab specialist’s one at Choa chu kang, SIngapore. The noodles were not up to standard too. But overall, we still enjoyed the meal! Its LONG BEACH after all! haha.

Yum Seng!

Enough of those famous crabs from Mellben or Long Beach! Choa Chu Kang, Singapore serves nice crabs too! Its located at a neighbourhood mall called Sunshine Place and its outside ‘Kopitiam’. The zi char is is pretty decent. Some times the food seems average, but most of the time they are tasty! One of my favourite dish there is the steam red grouper. Fresh and scrumptious! But our all time favourite dish is …. check out below =D

This is the sated egg crab! i am not a fan of salted eggs, but this salted egg crab is just fantastic. The sauce is very very tasty. Its a must try!

20 Jan 2009 Uncle Leong Seafood

Went down to Ang Mo Kio, Singapore, to have dinner at Mellben Seafood Restaurant. The famous restaurant with one of the best served crabs in town. When i reach there, around 7-730. They said we have to wait for approximately 1 hour 30 minutes. What the heck!!! Its a neighbourhood! You want me to chill at the void deck for 1.5 hrs?? So we did not eat there and head to the restaurant opposite. Yes, Uncle Leong Seafood Restaurant. More like a coffeeshop. haa. But let me tell you, its not just a replacement, i am glad Mellben was full house. The food there is just as good! The crab beehoon soup is very tasty. And the we were lucky to get the crab with lots of roll/egg inside! The other food served were tasty too! Mini wok deer meat, fried tou fu and stir fried spinach! Check it out!

29 Nov 2008 House of Seafood @ 180

This is the best place for Black Pepper Crabs. I’ve never eaten such great crabs in my life. As the comment from Mediacorp goes, “Even if you have to claw your way to this seafood restaurant, the crabs here are worth it”. So totally true. It is certainly a heaven for everyone, crab lovers or not.

Located at 180 Yio Chu Kang Road (near Serangoon Chomp Chomp), its a little out of the way, but it was really crowded. We had a little difficulty locating the place though.

Every dish which we had was great, but the Black Pepper Crabs (their speciality) stole the limelight. Its really tasty and spicy, and the black pepper sauce is really rich. The crabs are totally fresh. I have never eaten such tender meat before. My 5 cousins who were with me all agreed its the best we ever eaten!

We ordered dao miao, tou fu with minced meat, fried you tiao with prawn paste, mee goreng (which is spicy and good), and chilli crab. It costed the 6 of us around $180, and its really worth it considering the top food quality and superb service. As we were celebrating a birthday, the staff actually dimmed the lights,  played a birthday song, and served us ice water and plates for the cake. They were really thoughtful and we had a fantastic dining experience.

In conclusion, this is a MUST GO!!!!!
