When we reached Chijmes, we were unfamiliar with the layout and we wondered abt searching high and low for the restaurant. We saw a Jap lady who seemed to be lost too. Steph said “She must be looking for Sun w/ moon, lets follow her”. I was thinking “What are the odds of a Jap lady in Singapore, food paradise, having Jap food again? boooorrrring!” So I took her on and bet with her a drink. Need i say more, who lost the bet? What the heck? You come all the way to Singapore and you still stick with japanese food? Go try something else for petes sake.

Anyways, 6 of us and we spent S$100 bucks only! The food we ordered were done nicely and we enjoyed the food. We wanted to order desserts, but the selection is very limited and the portions really small. So, we headed somewhere else for dessert.

This time we really walked north south east west for a nice place to have dessert. We first headed to Killiney cafe at Raffles city, but there were no available seats. Nearby there was Shokudo, but the queue was too long. We headed up to MOF, but steph said the standard there is not too good. We went to Citi-link next to look for Waraku, but realised it has changed to some hong kong cafe. Finally, we settled down at Max Brenner at Esplanade mall. You can imagine how relieved we were.

Chocolate Haven, i must say. Stepping into the place and the cocoa aroma lingers around you. Their selection is pretty wide and thus spoiled for choices. As you can see from the last 4 photos, 6 of us shared 3 desserts and had a cup of chocolaty drink each! Sounds little? You are so wrong!! We almost died from overdose of chocolate. haha. I ordered a Peanut butter chockie. It was like drinking plain peanut butter down! Lovely initially, killer at the end. I suggest you share it with some friends. We ordered the truffle which is very good and the chocolate banana crepe is nice too! Oh you can purchase their glass cup too, which looks quite nice. Their small fondue set can be bought too. Enjoy!

I am a diver and a lover of the ocean, so as much as i m setting such a bad example, please avoid eating sharks’ fins. The cruelty of obtaining the fins and leaving the sharks to bleed to death is ruthless and unpardonable.

Ok, so lets say if you will die if u do not eat shark fins, head on down to Thai Village Sharkfins Restaurant and look forward to an array of wonderful seafood treats. The food range from abalone to crabs to prawns and many more! The main highlight is definitely the big bowl of sharkfins. The fins are succulent and smooth and it comes in a huge chunk, you can truly appreciate savouring it. Its cooked in a tasty broth which i am sure you will slurp up with the mushrooms and all. The braise superior sharkfins comes in S$60/90/120. The one in the picture is 60 dollars.

The crab beehoon is also done up nicely and is really tasty. The bake crab with vermecilli is priced at S$28/42/56. Seafood lovers will have a great time there! Price may be a bit expensive, but its worth it! Enjoy!

PS: My 5 star ratings states that i want to eat it everyday, BUT because of the cruelty of obtaining sharkfins, i will refrain from it! But do check out the other food, which are very nice too!

Durian cake, Durian puffs, Durian roll, Durian oreo cake, Durian Crepe !!! How can anyone call durian pungent?? They are so fragrant! hahaha.

The beauty of herbal treatment for High Blood cholesterol
 
I want to share a secret for treating high cholesterol. Three weeks ago l
went for a cholesterol check.  To my surprise, it was above the normal range
which should be  less than 5.2 mmol/L.   My reading obtained was 6.6.
I had been consuming alot of red meat and lamb recently.
After consuming Mok Yee for two weeks, l had my cholesterol checked
again and found that my cholesterol level fell to 4.70 mmol/L
 
My pharmacist said that even cholesterol medication will need 1- 3 months
 to take effect. She was very surprised and said it is a miracle.
 
Review:
 
I immediately followed an advice of a friend who told me about Black fungus
(Mok Yee).  He had four block heart arteries, over 90  percent blocked. His
cardiologist advised him to go for bypass surgery, failing which he would suffer
an imminent  heart attack. His sinseh ( chinese physician) friend advised him
against surgery  as the procedure would be messy, painful and expensive.
 
He followed the advise of his sinseh friend by consum! ing Mok Yee daily. After
co! nsuming boiled Mok Yee juice for 40 days, he went for an angiogram. His
heart specialist was surprised  and shocked   that his arteries were all cleared
of any blockage and it would not be necessary to see him for another 10 years!
 
My observation is that Mok Yee juice is not only effective in treating high blood
cholestrol but also helps  to bring relief to joint paints, arthritis and poor blood
circulation.
 
The internet info. claims : that Mok yee reduces blood clot, preventing thrombosis,
atherosclerosis and coronary heart disease and cancer. Black Fungus contains
abundant protein, ferric, calcium, vitamin, rough fibre! , the content of protein is
equal to meat.
 
Preparation :
 
1) Pick a hand full of Mok Yee and soak in water for 1-2 hours
2) Wash Mok Yee and cut to pieces with scissors.
3) Pour five bowls of plain water into slow cooker (crock pot)
4) Put 2-3 slices of ginger, 8-10 red dates, 20 kay chee (wolf berry)
     into crock pot.
 5) Bring to boil for 8 hours. One and a half bowls of Mok Yee juice will remain
    after boiling overnight.
 
Consumption : You may consume for 10 to 14 days according to the severity
of the problem..  For those with low blood pressure consume less or only
for alternate days.
 
Drink Mok Yee first thing in the morning with an ‘empty stomach’. Consume
at least one large bowl. Take breakfast 2 hours later.
 
Side effects - you may feel a little tired after 3- 4 days. Consume multivitamins
and fresh fruits and vegetables daily. Do not eat oily or fried foods during
this period.
 
Observation : Dark and oily stool during the first two days.
 
Remarks : Cholesterol medication is chemical in nature and may harm the liver.
Mok Yee is a plant and does not contain chemicals.
